I’m excited to share some important updates with you about the year ahead and the role CoMRAA continues to play in shaping the future of our industry.

🗓️ 2026 MTAC Meetings Dates Announced

The U.S. Postal Service has announced the tentative 2026 quarterly meeting dates for the Mailers’ Technical Advisory Committee (MTAC) meetings. 

January 13-14

March 24-25

July 28-29

October 20-21

MTAC is where the most important decisions and conversations about the mailing industry take place. It’s the table where policy, operations, and innovation intersect — and where the voice of our industry can be heard directly by USPS leadership.

For Commercial Mail Receiving Agents, CoMRAA’s seat as a member of MTAC ensures that your challenges, opportunities, and perspectives are represented at the highest level. From regulatory issues to operational improvements, our presence means that CMRAs don’t just adapt to change — we help shape it.

👤 A New Postmaster General: David Steiner

As you know, David Steiner began his tenure as the 76th Postmaster General on July 15th. His appointment comes at a pivotal time, as USPS continues to modernize its operations and reimagine how it partners with industry stakeholders, not to mention the dire financial condition of the Postal Service.

Mr. Steiner is the former CEO of Waste Management, a $20.4 billion revenue waste and environmental services company operating throughout North America, with nearly 50,000 employees. He was CEO from 2004 until 2016. Prior to joining the Postal Service he held several board of director positions, including lead independent director of FedEx.

Though it is still early, CoMRAA has had the pleasure of direct conversations with Steiner and it appears he has a strong focus on efficiency, digital transformation, and strengthening collaboration with industry associations like ours. CoMRAA is already working to ensure that CMRAs are not only part of the conversation but also seen as essential partners in the broader USPS ecosystem and planning.
